Dear Coach/Team Manager,

On behalf of Cobb FC, I’d like to welcome you to our 2008 Academy Open. The annual Academy Open tournament is designed to provide U-9 to U-12 academy teams with the opportunity to play competitive games against teams from around the state as part of their fall pre-season preparations. Trophies will be awarded to the winners and runners-up in all divisions.

All the games are scheduled to be played at the new Mud Creek soccer complex, or at nearby Tramore Park, located in the Marietta/Powder Springs area of Cobb County.

Other important in information:

• U12 teams have the option to play either 8-a-side, or 11-a-side formats
• Team check-in takes place 45 minutes prior to your team’s first scheduled game on Saturday
  • no need to make the Friday drive through Atlanta traffic!

Tournament Date: August 9th/10th, 2008

• Games scheduled to be played at the Mud Creek Soccer Complex in Powder Springs, GA.
• 3-game minimum
• Deadline: 11pm, Saturday, July 26th, 2008
• Check In: 45 minutes prior to your 1st scheduled Saturday game.
• Check In Location: Concessions stand at Mud Creek
• U9, U10, U11, U12 girls’ and boys’ academy teams
• 6-a-side games (U9 and U10) $325 per team
• 8-a-side games (U11 and U12) $375 per team
• 11-a-side games (U12) $400 per team
